Terms and Conditions for Commissions
Payment
Payment must be made in full or paid via monthly installments. The first installment (deposit) is 50% of the cost of your portrait. This payment will hold your place on my waiting list. The drawing of the portrait will not begin until all payments are complete and please be aware the original 50% deposit is non-refundable after 3 days of receiving payment.
Payment can be made via PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Debit/Credit Card, or bank transfer.
If you are paying for your portrait via monthly installments I will send you a reminder/invoice at the beginning of each month.
Price conversion is as per the exchange rate at the time of booking.
Shipping
All orders are shipped securely with the tracking number to the address you provide. If the item is a gift, it can be shipped directly to the recipient. Please indicate the address at the time of the order.
Free shipping and insurance in the Continental United States.
Commission will ship 4-5 business days after completion and approval is received. .
For domestic orders, the artwork will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days) with the tracking number provided.
For International orders, client has a choice between USPS Priority Mail International (6-10 business days) or USPS Priority Mail Express International (3-5 business days) with the tracking number provided.
International cost of delivery depends on the size, destination, and the delivery time frame. This will be calculated during check out.
Once the package leaves the studio I am not able to access any information beyond what is available on the tracking package, and I am not responsible for any delays or missing shipments.
Lead Time
I book a limited amount of commissions a year and often I have a client waiting list. Lead time depends on factors such as the number of other portraits booked and time of year.
It takes 1-4 weeks to complete a portrait depending on size and complexity. Please be aware that I work on a first come first serve basis. Please contact me to make sure your portrait can be completed and delivered in the time you need, especially if it's for a specific date such as anniversaries, birthdays, etc. I will do my best trying to accommodate a special request.
Cancellations
You may have a full refund if order is cancelled within the first 3 days of receiving payment of first installment or balance paid in full .
Cancellations must be made by email and upon cancellation clients will lose their place on my waiting list.
If a client cancels their order after 3 days of payment and work has not yet begun on the portrait, 50% of the payment amount will be retained as loss of business (to cover the artist’s time, administration, emails, mock-ups, payment fees, etc.) and the remaining amount will be returned to client.
If a client cancels their order and work has commenced on the portrait, all payments will be retained to cover the artist's time, administration, materials used, etc.

Gift Certificate
Gift certificates are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed towards any item for sale in my online shop or commission. Gift certificates cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
Privacy Policy
The artist will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.
Copyright
The artist retains full copyright on all artwork that is produced. This means I can create prints and products using the image of the artwork created. I reserve the right to publish the artwork in publications as well as display it in my website gallery and on my social media pages.
VAT and Import Duty
Payment of import duty may be due in some countries, which is the sole responsibility of the client. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.
Damages
Damages in US orders are extremely rare.
Because I ship Priority Mail and I add shipping insurance, a refund may be available.
To inquire about a possible damaged order refund, please email me with your order number and clear, well-lit photos of the damage to the package and its contents.
Please use caution when opening your packages. I cannot refund or replace merchandise that is damaged during the process of opening and/or unwrapping.
International orders
Unfortunately, I cannot refund or replace missing or damaged international orders. Please keep this in mind when placing orders in my store.
Incorrect Address/Returned Packages
In the event that the provided shipping address is incorrect or if the customer needs to pick up the package from their local post office and does not and package is returned to me, please be aware that the client will be responsible for covering the shipping costs associated with resending the package. I kindly ask you to double-check and ensure that the shipping address provided during the order placement is accurate. Additionally, if you do need to pick up the package at your local post office, please do so promptly to avoid any inconveniences.
Additionally, for International Orders, please be aware that if international packages get returned to me they may have traveled across the world twice and may not be returned to us in good condition. If that is the case, I unfortunately cannot refund or replace damaged international orders.
